March 23 update: Today Governor Whitmer's office has designated critical infrastructure workers in her executive order. Funeral home employees are all designated critical infrastructure employees.
Also clarified: Attending a funeral service or memorial service is considered an "ESSENTIAL ACTIVITY". This is an exception to the "Stay at Home" order (E.O. 2020-21). Current limitation of 50 attendees or less has not changed.
COVID-19 response update:
Effective 9:00am Tuesday, March 17: By Executive Order of Governor Gretchen Whitmer to Protect Public Health and Saftey, all events or assemblages over 50 people in shared indoor spaces are prohibited until April 5, 2020. In addition, the White House has advised avoiding groups of more than 10 people.

Convenient. Comfortable. Comforting.
When you select a funeral home, comfort is an important consideration. Visitors should be able to converse quietly, to recollect and reminisce. Your family should have a private place to meet for sympathy and support.
At our funeral homes in Holland, Hamilton, and Zeeland, we’ve taken special care to create a comforting atmosphere that includes familiar, traditional furnishings and every amenity you may require. At both our Holland and Zeeland locations, we have installed a t-coil hearing loop system to enhance the service for those with hearing challenges.
There is easy access for visitors of every physical capacity and ample, well-lighted parking. Our Yntema Funeral Home in Zeeland was built in 1989 and completely redecorated in 2004. The Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home in Hamilton was completely redecorated in 2002, and in March of 2009, our Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home in Holland received a major addition that doubled its size, added an on site reception room and upgraded its technology to state-of-the-art levels.
Our spacious chapels add to your comfort with beautiful furnishings and accessories. There is room for almost any size of service.
We welcome your visit to any of our locations at any time (click address for map).
